Since its founding in 1987, Laverana GmbH & Co. KG has been committed to the brand and market development of consistent natural cosmetics and, with lavera Naturkosmetik, ranks among the market leaders in the international cosmetics market. For the company, success is achieved when its concepts bear fruit, and its brand and products enjoy popularity worldwide. The aim of the company is the democratisation of natural cosmetics – all consumers around the world should have the opportunity to enjoy natural personal care and genuine natural cosmetics. Thus, Laverana has been focusing on actively shaping the market since it was founded in 1987.

Research and development

Laverana learns from nature and uses the multi-functionality of natural ingredients, conducts basic research, develops special manufacturing processes and new natural active ingredients, and is constantly searching for further optimisations. Besides impeccable quality, the optimal compatibility of our products is of utmost importance. Effects that improve the skin condition are our top priority. Everything that has previously been developed by our medium-sized company is bottled or filled at our high-performance plant. Many product lines were introduced to the natural cosmetics sector by Laverana.

Production

Closed competence chain – made in Germany, in the Hanover region

For 30 years, Laverana GmbH & Co. KG has marketed natural cosmetics that comply with the standards for certified natural cosmetics. Every product is individually developed, produced, bottled and shipped to some 40 countries worldwide. Wherever possible, we use herbal ingredients from controlled organic cultivation  which, just like the products and packaging, undergo a veritable quality marathon. Laverana produces over 300 natural active ingredients in-house.

Their processing is performed gently at the highest technical level, utilising green energy. No chemical preservatives, fragrances or aromas are used.

The range that started it all: basis sensitiv. With lip balm, basis shower gel and basis lotion.

1990

The first 100% mineral sun protection, water-resistant from the very start.

1991

lavera is the world's first brand to offer eight lipsticks with 100% natural ingredients. The are available in matt-coloured cedar wood holders with aluminium sleeves.

The first natural make-up from lavera, rouge and the first lipstick.

1993

lavera facial care has had its own care range since 1993.

1997

The lavera classic: the silver mascara, today a care classic.

2000-2001

The Body SPA* series and the first Christmas edition. *=sanus per aquam

2001

The first natural lip gloss from lavera. In the same year, the legendary Gloss shampoo is introduced to the market.

2002

The first company: lavera offers sprayable sun protection, 100% mineral.

2003

Thanks to Laverana, the first natural self-tanning spray comes to the market and the green Kids Sun Spray with SPF 25 is introduced. No competitor is able to offer such a high sprayable sun...

2004

Concealer in certified natural cosmetics quality.

2007

New formulations with organic plant fluids for lavera hair care.

2008

Since 2008, there have been ten lip balms with ten organic oils and organic waxes.

2008-2009

Introduction of the organic label, production of organic fluids.

2009

New design concept: Body SPA* with organic label. *=sanus per aquam

2010

Relaunch with the introduction of product innovations such as Q10 moisturising cream – or the CREAM.

2011-2012

Revision of all facial care systems, new products. All natural make-up products come from our own production.

2012

Introduction of the first 100% natural hair care with organic ingredients from the region.

2014-2015

100% NATRUE-certified since autumn 2014, first mousse make-up and launch of the Illuminating Eye Cream.

2016

Introduction of the lavera Re-Energizing Sleeping Cream.
